Qualification Structure for the Foundation Programme

Teaching methods and assessment

We use a blend of lecture-led learning and teaching via tutorials, as well as Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL).

Our teaching staff are qualified, committed and student centred; they collaborate with other faculties to ensure degree readiness and that they are up-to-date with challenges experienced in the degrees.

You have access to campus resource centres, computer laboratories and WiFi.

You complete individual and group activities as well as practical exercises to prepare you for assessments. These assessments ensure that you gain relevant academic knowledge and develop your interpersonal and life skills.

On completion of the Foundation Programme, you may access specific Pearson Institute degree streams (this may be dependent on NSC subject-specific results).

You will not be able to progress from the Foundation Programme to the Bachelor of Psychology degree.

If you did not complete your secondary schooling in English, you will be assessed prior to enrolment and if recommended to do so, placed in an English support class or in the English Language Foundation Programme.
