Admission and Accreditation

You need a recognised undergraduate BCom degree, with Business Management and Strategic Management at third-year level and Accounting, Economics and Statistics at first-year level or equivalent for the specific honours degree.

And

You need a minimum of 60% average during the exit year of the applicable undergraduate degree.

Specific modules may be required to have been completed at undergraduate level.

If you are a Pearson Institute student studying towards any of our undergraduate BCom degrees, you qualify to enrol for the BComHons (Business Management), providing you meet the Honours degree requirements. If you have not completed Accounting 1, you may enrol on the condition that you complete Accounting 1 in the first semester while doing the Honours programme.

The business industry is ever evolving, and as such the content of all modules are revised and supported by an advisory board of academics and professionals from the industry.

All current students at Pearson Institute studying BBA, BCom (Marketing), BCom (Human Resource Management) and BCom (Tourism Management) will qualify to study the BCom Hons (Business Management) provided they meet the Honours degree requirements.
